Spray

Not too much to spray about in Wellington climbing lately. Weather has been poor, locals have been lame or injured...

I think Uber Rotund V7 saw a couple of ascents on the weekend (one of the Palmy crew, and Kester Brown). Kester also did Toast V7 a while back. And Dave Kopp may have climbed on rock sometime in the last month....but I haven't been able to confirm that.

The Brits (Amie and Rohan) have gone to ground. The youngins (Zac, Bob, Connie et al) all seem to have retreated to the new woody in Zac's parent's garage. And Mike 'Slap My Head!' Leslie has a broken toe and a dodgy shoulder.

It's a sorry state of affairs...

BTW, the hard list has been updated to include Ivan's new V8. Also upgraded Noir Desir SS to (soft?) V9 - on reflection it seems a step up from the 8s.

Luckily the weather has been crap most of the time so the team wounded didn't feel too bad about not being able to crank (add Tomasz with shin bone in pieces and Jirka with shredded heel). Certain individuals are working on a spectacular comeback, while others prefer trees to rock and in total desperation went for drytooling on a campus board! I mean everyone knows that climbers in Wellington are weird but do you have to keep proving it all the time?
